Customer Service Specialist - Call Centre, Greenacres, SA

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic Call Centre Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing customer calls, providing product and service information, resolving customer issues, assisting with the day-to-day administrative requirements to support the role and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
All Call Centre principal customer contact specialists or Call Centre customer contact officers (minimum grade 2) are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.

Handle outgoing calls to customers as required.

Address customer inquiries regarding products and services..

Provide accurate and timely information to customers.

Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively or escalate to higher levels if necessary.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions.
-
Update customer information in the company’s database.
-
Log call details and outcomes.
-
Identify customer needs and assist them in finding solutions.
-
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
-
Stay informed about company products and services.
-
Participate in ongoing training to maintain product knowledge.

Meet and exceed call handling KPI's and quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.

Proven experience in a call centre or customer service role.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong listening skills and the ability to empathise with customers.

Proficiency in using call centre software and computer systems.
-
Ability to handle a high volume of calls and multitask effectively.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Patience and professionalism in handling difficult situations.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required.

Excellent knowledge of South Australian metropolitan and country regions.

Vehicle knowledge is advantageous.
